The Pipper nigram (P. nigram) leaf extract was used for the biosynthesis of copper oxide nanoparticles (CuO NPs) and successful formation resultant product confirmed through several physicochemical techniques. chemical structure elemental composition were analysed Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectroscopies, respectively. crystalline crystallite size investigated an diffractometer (XRD) a monoclinic with 40.68 nm reported. Even-distributed particles average particle 49.75 seen in scanning electron micrograph (SEM), whereas thermal stability checked during thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). ultra-violet visible (UV-Visible) spectroscopy operated to study light absorbance phenomena determine band gap from absorption edge, which found be 1.47 eV. CuO NPs as antibacterial agents against gram-negative bacteria (GNB) gram-positive (GPB), greater inhibition zones former one. antioxidant test also carried out 2,2′-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) free radicals potential higher than ascorbic acid.
